Earth & The Ancestors is a clay gathering devoted to connecting with nature, lineage, and personal ancestry through hands-on creation. Together, we enter a grounded, intentional space to listen, shape, and honor the Earth through clay.
This in-person gathering will take place at Arts of Origin Studio, located in the Bok Building in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
During our time, you’ll create 1–2 sculptural pieces—bowls, vessels, or nature-inspired forms—each guided by your own vision of the Earth and ancestral memory. I’ll share foundational sculptural handbuilding techniques, offering demonstrations and support, while leaving ample space for your intuition and creativity to lead the process.
All materials are provided, and your pieces will be fired after the gathering. Finished works will be ready approximately two weeks later for local pickup, or can be shipped upon request (shipping not included).
This gathering is an invitation to slow down, remember, and create in relationship with the Earth—allowing form, story, and spirit to emerge through your hands.
