Th Sol Cup is wheel-thrown from speckled stoneware and hand-carved with the sacred Zuni sun symbol at its center — radiating outward and flanked by mountain symbols that wrap around the entire form. The carving is done by hand into the raw clay, so every line carries a natural design form by hand.
The glaze fires to a warm desert palette — sandy cream speckled with deep rust and sienna, pooling into the carved lines and deepening the design. The result looks like something pulled from the earth, ancient and alive at the same time.
