Clay Instruments of the Earth
Whistle • Ocarina • Flute • Shaker
Hello & Welcome.
These live, hands-on gatherings explore the relationship between clay, breath, and sound through a deep creative immersive process.
This offering centers on Clay Instruments of the Earth: First Forms, a foundational journey through four core anatomical forms. As we explore how sound is shaped through clay, you are invited to explore your creativity, allowing your designs to emerge from your inner visions.
Each workshop is taught in real time through a live, presence-based approach, open to all levels and designed for those ready to fully enter the creative process.
We will begin with these foundational forms and if you feel called to explore more intricate sound forms, you'll find more workshops waiting below, available to join via waitlist.
Clay Instruments of the Earth: First Forms
Whistle • Ocarina • Flute • Shaker
Clay Instruments of the Earth: First Forms moves intricately through a wide range of clay instruments and sound forms. Together, we will create four foundational instruments: a whistle, ocarina, flute, and shaker — each offering a unique relationship to breath, rhythm, and resonance.

This is a spacious, layered experience where participants are encouraged to create 2–4+ instruments across three extended days (each ~3.5 hours). We highly recommend setting aside the full three days, allowing time to stay in the rhythm of making and continue refining your pieces between sessions.
Open to All Levels
A live, online, hands-on exploration of clay, breath, and sound. In this 3-day immersive workshop, you’ll create four foundational instruments—whistle, ocarina, flute, and shaker—while learning how form and airflow come together to create voice and resonance.
Open to all levels, this journey offers step-by-step guidance alongside space for your own creative expression and sculptural design. There will be no recordings, as presence is encouraged as part of this traditional way of learning.
For the best outcome, it’s recommended to reserve these days for creation—even beyond the live sessions—as you may naturally find yourself continuing the process between gatherings.
