Clay Instruments of the Earth

Whistle • Ocarina • Flute • Shaker

Hello & Welcome.

These live, hands-on gatherings explore the relationship between clay, breath, and sound through a deep creative process.

Centered on Clay Instruments of the Earth: First Forms, you'll create four foundational clay instruments while discovering how sound is shaped through clay. As you work, you're invited to follow your creativity and allow your own designs to emerge.

Taught live in a presence-based format, these workshops are open to all levels. If you're called to explore more advanced sound forms, additional workshops are available below through the waitlist.

Clay Instruments of the Earth: First Forms

Whistle • Ocarina • Flute • Shaker

Clay Instruments of the Earth: First Forms moves intricately through a wide range of clay instruments and sound forms. Together, we will create four foundational instruments: a whistle, ocarina, flute, and shaker — each offering a unique relationship to breath, rhythm, and resonance.

This is a spacious, immersive experience held across four live sessions on Saturdays and Sundays (3.5 hours each). We highly recommend setting aside at least one extra hour after each gathering, as working with clay often opens a deep creative flow that naturally invites you to keep creating. This extra time allows you to refine your pieces and stay connected to the creative process.
