The Sound of Clay

Live Online Workshops in Clay Instrument making

Hello & Welcome. These live, hands-on gatherings explore the relationship between clay, breath, and sound.
Each workshop is taught in real time through live, presence-based approach. You’re welcome to begin with an intro class or step directly into a deep immersion whichever you feel most called to explore with clay, open to all levels.
We work with specific anatomical forms as a foundation, while also inviting your creativity and personal design in dialogue with the earth.

Deep Immersion Workshop

Our upcoming workshops range from introductory journeys to instrument-specific studies and deeper immersive containers.

While single-instrument workshops focus on one anatomy at a time, the Deep Immersion Workshops move more intricately through a wider range of clay instruments and sound forms. These are spacious, layered experiences where participants are encouraged to create 2–4+ instruments across two extended sessions (each ~4.5 hours). We highly recommend setting aside the full two days, allowing time to stay in the rhythm of making and continue refining your pieces between sessions.

Open to All Levels

Clay Instruments of the Earth: First Forms | Online 3 Session Journey
from $300.00

A live, online, hands-on exploration of clay, breath, and sound. In this 3-day immersive workshop, you’ll create four foundational instruments—whistle, ocarina, flute, and shaker—while learning how form and airflow come together to create voice and resonance.

Open to all levels, this journey offers step-by-step guidance alongside space for your own creative expression and sculptural design. There will be no recordings, as presence is encouraged as part of this traditional way of learning.

For the best outcome, it’s recommended to reserve these days for creation—even beyond the live sessions—as you may naturally find yourself continuing the process between gatherings.
